{SØNiK} was founded out of a desire to promote a dynamic awareness of sonic arts and new media in a forum rich in creative experimentation and progressive
dialogue, with the intention of blurring the lines and definitions of fine art traditions.

{SØNiK} is dedicated to works by emerging artists from all over the world, working in sound, video, interactive media, and live performance. {SØNiK} presents
a quarterly festival, {SØNiK}Fest, which celebrates the advancements and new works by individuals, collaborative and collective projects in these mediums.
Selection is based on an open call format of submissions.

// {SØNiK} is conceptualized by Seyhan Musaoglu. She is a multi-disciplinary artist, working extensively in the realms of live performance, sound, film and video,
and 2-D works. She is a co-founder of the Brooklyn-based collaborative sound project, MeKaniKdolls, and has performed in venues including The Kitchen, the
annual Mono No Aware event, Envoy Gallery, Lit Lounge, and Istanbul's famed venue, Babylon. She has screened films in the Bushwick Film Festival, Brazil's
Curta8 Film Festival, and has exhibited works in galleries including The Kitchen, NYC, Sapphire Lounge, NYC, and 808 Gallery in Boston.
